In 1966, Cliff Valley School was established as a progressive, cooperative preschool and kindergarten with the goal of nurturing children to become confident, independent learners and responsible, caring members of the community. Located at 2426 Clairmont Road, the preschool has been a resource to the Northeast Atlanta community through several generations. Cliff Valley School’s expansion through the elementary grades began in 2000, driven by the needs of its families to have their children continue their high-quality education at Cliff Valley School.

In 2004, after 40 years in rented classrooms, our renowned school moved into a real home of our own – and what a home it is.  

Our school features a striking, modern look of brick, granite and wood. You’ll find facilities for environmental education (inside and out), earth-friendly building materials, state-of-the-art security, computers in each elementary classroom, a library/media center, meeting facilities and much more.

The school was designed around the students’ needs and the school’s philosophy, to construct a warm, friendly environment that fosters creativity and development.  Georgia Trend magazine calls it, “clearly a leap into the future of private school education.”
