Application Procedures
PRESCHOOL
Application
Complete the Preschool Application (2 pages) and attach a non-refundable $80 application fee. Applications are available starting November 1, 2007.
Applications must be received in the school office by Friday, February 8, 2008.
You will be sent a receipt once your application has been received by the school office.
Notification
Letters will be sent to new families on Monday, March 10, 2008 notifying them of admission decisions. Signed enrollment contracts and the first tuition installment must be received by the Cliff Valley School office no later than Friday, March 21, 2008 to secure placement.
Students placed on our waiting list will be offered places as appropriate openings occur.
ELEMENTARY
Each year parents tell us that admissions to independent schools is very stressful, especially because the process is so laborious and time consuming. We hear you and this year we are offering parents an option. If Cliff Valley School is your first choice for an elementary education, you can streamline the admissions process by applying for Early Admissions. By applying for Early Admissions your family will enjoy the benefits of priority scheduling for classroom visits and parent interviews, admission notification a full 5 weeks before other schools, and the opportunity to join the Cliff Valley community for school events several months before the start of the 2008-2009 school year.
Elementary Early Admission Process
Early Admission Application
Complete the Elementary Application (2 pages) and attach a non-refundable $80 application fee and a copy of the child’s birth certificate. Applications are available starting November 1, 2007.
Applications must be received in the school office by Friday, February 8, 2008. You will be sent a receipt once your application has been received by the school office.
Teacher Information Form
Submit the Teacher Information Form (2 pages) with an addressed, stamped envelope to the child’s current teacher for completion. Completed Teacher Information Forms are to be mailed directly to Cliff Valley and are due in the school office by Friday, February 8, 2008.
Early Admission Classroom Visit
All new Kindergarten and 1st Grade applicants to the Elementary Program will be contacted by school staff to attend a classroom visit, tentatively scheduled for Saturday, March 1, 2008. All 2nd through 5th Grade applicants will be contacted to schedule a classroom visit during a regular school day.
Early Admission Notification
Letters will be sent to families in the Early Admission process on Monday, March 3, 2008 notifying them of admission decisions. Signed enrollment contracts and the first tuition installment must be received by the Cliff Valley School office no later than Friday, March 14, 2008 to secure placement. All tuition payments for Early Admission are non-refundable.
Students placed on our waiting list will be offered places as appropriate openings occur.
If you are considering several independent schools, then our regular admissions process is for you.
