Where community means something.
A place where everybody knows your name.
And, more importantly, your child’s.
With team teachers and fewer than 300 students from preschool through fifth grade, Cliff Valley is a true learning community. The school was founded by committed parents in 1966, and the passion that is our school’s hallmark continues to this day among students, families and faculty.
Your child will come home talking about her teachers, her classmates and what she did today – as well as other teachers, other kids and what they did today. It’s a shock the first time you realize your child is known and loved by a teacher you’ve never met, from a class down the hall. But you’ll get used to it.
This spirit of community does not happen by accident. Cliff Valley is not a drop-off school where teachers see adults at graduation and wonder, “Who’s that?” Here, parental involvement isn’t just allowed – it’s encouraged. Your child’s teachers will communicate with you regularly to let you know how she’s doing – and how you can help cement what she’s learning in the classroom.
At the same time, Cliff Valley parents support the school, not only with their tuition dollars, but with their time, their ideas and their financial generosity. Parents set policy, volunteer in class, raise money for programs and make our progress possible. It’s been that way for 40 years, and our community wouldn’t have it any other way.
