Cliff Valley School has had a profound impact on our family. Our daughter has been a student at Cliff Valley since she was 3-years old. This year, she is 10-years old and in the 4th grade. There are many reasons why we continue to send Isabella to Cliff Valley. The main reason is that she loves learning and is inspired to do so each day. What a beautiful thing! Lessons are taught in a variety of ways, enabling the children a true understanding of the content. Many of the lessons are reinforced in other classes, such as music, outdoor class, and art. One year my daughter’s class studied Africa. The class then learned African music while in music class. In art, they were exposed to African art. Items from Africa were brought in by teachers and families. The open-communication and passion for learning amongst the teachers is a true benefit to the students! Our daughter is smart, passionate, confident, and so proud of her school! As a parent, I am welcome in the classroom at any time. For the last 7 years, all of my daughter’s teachers have welcomed communication, questions, concerns, and ideas from myself, my husband, and my daughter. My husband and I feel a true partnership with Cliff Valley School in relation to our daughter. Aside from amazing academics, Cliff Valley provides a loving, nurturing environment for our daughter, combined with just enough structure. Teachers and Administration know the parents and children by name. There is an amazing energy you will feel when walking down the halls. The families are truly great! Each year, Cliff Valley continues to impress us!

Our family joined the Cliff Valley community 7 years ago, and it has been wonderful to watch our children thrive in such a caring, stimulating environment. Beginning with three day preschool, the focus on play-based learning allowed our son and daughter to become increasingly confident trying new things, negotiating relationships with peers, solving problems and making decisions. We watched with delight as they became independent and resourceful learners who absolutely loved coming to school every day. As parents, we became big believers in the philosophy that social and emotional development are every bit as important as academic development, and we saw each day how their teachers supported their growth in all three areas.
As they made the transition into the elementary program at Cliff Valley, we knew our kids were well-prepared and excited about this next phase. From the beginning of Kindergarten, it quickly became apparent that their preschool experiences were going to be an incredibly strong foundation for success. The social and emotional skills they had developed over the past years were secure, allowing them to focus on exploring new ideas in language arts, math, social studies and science. We also really appreciate the value Cliff Valley places on “enrichment” activities such as art, music, Spanish, P.E. and the outdoor classroom. These elements of the elementary program offer a truly comprehensive education that fosters creativity, analytical skills, good health and a desire to explore and understand the world that exists beyond the Cliff Valley campus.
Cliff Valley School has been an outstanding fit for our children and is providing an educational experience that has exceeded all our expectations. We are thrilled to be part of this community and look forward to watching our kids continue to grow and excel. I can’t imagine being anywhere else.

For our family, finding Cliff Valley School five years ago was like “hitting one out of the ballpark”! We couldn’t be happier with the supportive community of families and staff. Our boys have unlimited possibilities to learn and grow at Cliff Valley. They feel respected, motivated and valued each school day. We have seen mothers, fathers and grandparents volunteer daily to support our teachers - and our teachers enthusiastically work to foster a love of learning. Seeing our eight year old light up when he is describing to us the benefits of composting and recycling is such a thrill. Daily, Cliff Valley teachers challenge our children to make the world a better place. Additionally, the curriculum allows our second grader to express himself through the schools exceptional Art program. We are amazed at how the staff nurtures his creativity and inspires him to appreciate the world around him. We are also impressed with how the classroom theme seamlessly becomes a part of both the music and art programs. As parents, we know we have made the right choice in schools for our sons when we see them excitedly jump out of the car each morning and PROUDLY walk through the front doors of Cliff Valley School. Now, that’s a home run!
